Stonehedge Gardens to air “The Eleventh Hour” at monthly Philosopher’s Café
Stonehedge Gardens will air the documentary “The Eleventh Hour” at 7 pm on Wednesday, May 6, during its first monthly Philosopher’s Café of the spring and summer season. A $5 donation is suggested and those interested may RSVP by calling 570-386-4618.
Produced and narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, “The Eleventh Hour” offers a captivating and at times unnerving look at how humanity lives and impacts the earth’s ecosystem, and the solutions required to change its downward course.
The film features dialogue with experts from around the globe, including leading scientists, thinkers and leaders who present the facts and discuss the most important issues facing the planet today. Following the film, participants may remain to discuss topics covered during the documentary.
The Philosopher’s Café is held monthly, and admission fee includes coffee, tee, snacks, movie and a moderator to lead discussion.
Stonehedge maintains and operates a seven-acre, free public garden, gallery and gift shop used for art exhibits and education, as well as a variety of community events focused on nature, art and wellness. Visitors are invited to discover the garden at any time during daylight hours. For a modest donation, visitors also may schedule a private tour by calling 570-386-4276.
Stonehedge is operated as a non-profit, member-supported organization dedicated to providing an environment for personal and community transformation and wellness through its gardens and the arts. To learn more, visit http://stonehedge.org or call 570-386-4276 or 4618.
